What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Who we share your data with
If you confirm a booking, we may share the personal data you provide on the crew list with our collaborators, service providers (insurance companies), and the Port Authorities for the purpose to validate your reservation, edit a charter party, arrange your arrival at the embarkation point, or to follow the necessary process for the sail-off.
Except for the cases stated above, we agree not to sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to third parties without your consent. We may be required to disclose your personal data without your prior consent in order to comply with a legal requirement. We may disclose your personal data if necessary to comply with a court summons, warrant or other judgment of order, which appears to be valid or to an authority that has asserted its legitimate authority to obtain the information in the context of an inquiry or in the exercise of a legitimate interest and in particular the defense of its rights.
How long we retain your data
We will keep your personal data in a secure environment for the time necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected or during the minimum retention period provided by the applicable legislation, particularly in civil and commercial matters.
If you confirm a booking, your personal data are retained indefinitely so that if you proceed to an online booking at any time in the future, you will be recognized as an existing customer and you will receive the corresponding benefits according to our marketing policy valid at the time of your new booking.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
